I'd say "the universe," but there's just so much we don't know.Jon Nicholshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05016538397199264535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7116431720118421557.post-39827588877181638012010-08-09T13:45:45.403-07:002010-08-09T13:45:45.403-07:00Great observations. I too am hungry to see an alien invasion story where our military forces are not completely ineffective against the alien technology and we are able to fight it out. We see some elements of this is futuristic movies like "Starship Troopers" and "Alien Mine" where we are at war with other alien races and able to hold our own. Just because aliens have somehow figured out how to travel from whereever to Earth does not mean they should automatically have invincible shields and super weapons that we are powerless against. I for one would expect us to be fully able to deliver some effective retaliation.

Maybe we don't see this because the special effects budget would be so big to show these battles but maybe that will change. All I know is that if big bad aliens are going to try and invade, I want to see humans doing what they do best, waging war like nobody's business.David Paquettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01578165024532859561noreply@blogger.com
